Crochet: Finished Projects!

Since Scott took Caleb to PetSmart last night, I was able to spend a little time finishing up two projects that were on my crochet WIP (work in progress) list. Thought I would post some pictures since I very rarely actually REMEMBER to take pictures of my work. How silly is that? I give 90% of it away and I have no real record of it. Anyway, here they are:

(I am not very good at posting pictures yet!)

The first is a baby blanket that I started a LONG time ago. I thought that adding the crocheted edging would be quicker/easier/simpler to do than actually crocheting the whole blanket....boy, was I wrong! It took forever to punch all the holes and then to crochet 4 rounds. And to top it off I HATED the yarn I chose to do the edging as it was a pain to work with, but I was too far in to quit. I got it almost done and just couldn't stand it anymore so it got put into a bag a stuffed in a corner. But after finding it I decided that I had to finish it or there was no point doing all the work in the first place. Don't know who I will give it to, but at least I have it ready to go for the next baby that comes into my life.

The second picture is of a little gingerbread man that I made as a Christmas ornament for a gift exchange through my local crochet guild. He was a ton of fun and worked up very quickly. I am thinking about doing a few more just like him for the Christmas tree or for gifts. With all my other WIP's though, I may have to way until next year!
